We are a small operation and we would rather show you how we keep records than tell you we are careful. Everything below is a description of our process. None of it is a statement about any material.
One record behind every number
There is a single record for each material we hold, and the pages on this site are built from it rather than maintained alongside it. A price, a size, or an availability state cannot be edited on the website on its own. If the published pages and the underlying record ever disagree, our build fails and nothing ships until they match.
This is a smaller promise than it sounds and worth stating anyway: it means the price you are reading is the price in our books, not a number somebody typed into a page and forgot.
What arrives is recorded as a delivery
Material is recorded against the delivery it arrived in, with the date we received it and the quantity that came. Deliveries are added, never edited away, so the history of what arrived stays intact even after everything from it has gone.
Where a supplier gives us their own batch reference we keep it against that delivery. Where a supplier ships without one, we record that no reference was given rather than leaving the field looking unanswered.
Availability is counted, not asserted
The stock state shown on the catalog is derived from a balance and the movements recorded against it, rather than being a flag somebody sets. When something sells, that is recorded as a sale and the count follows from it.
We publish whether a material is in stock and not how much of it we hold. That is a commercial matter rather than a regulatory one, and it is the one number on this page we deliberately keep to ourselves.
What we publish about a material
Identity, quantity, and price. We do not publish what a material does, what it is for, how much to use, how to prepare it, or how it might be administered, and we will not supply any of it on request. That is a fixed condition of sale rather than an omission, and it applies to an email from us exactly as it applies to a page on this site.
Everything here is sold for laboratory research use only. The full position is set out in our Research Use Only policy.
Certificates of analysis
We do not have any today. When a material has one it will be linked from that material’s page, and if it is not linked there we do not have one to send. We would rather say that plainly than imply testing we cannot show you.
A person on the other end
There is no cart and no account. Every order is agreed by email with one of the two people who run this company, which is slower than a checkout and is the point: it keeps a human on both ends of every order. If something arrives wrong, the same two people answer that as well, under our Shipping and Returns policy.
What this page is not
It is not an analytical report, an accreditation, or a quality guarantee. We hold none of those and we are not going to imply otherwise. It is a description of our bookkeeping, offered because a buyer deciding whether to send a first order to a small supplier is reasonably asking whether that supplier keeps records.
