This policy explains what Cupid Chems LLC does with personal information collected through cupidchems.com. We have tried to keep it specific rather than comprehensive, because a policy you cannot check is not worth much.

- This site sets one cookie for visitors, which remembers that you confirmed you are a qualified researcher acquiring materials for laboratory research use only. It runs no analytics, advertising, or social media trackers.

What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form, we receive:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your institution or organization, which the form requires, and which may be “Independent” if you have none;
- the product your inquiry is about;
- a reference code, if you were given one and choose to enter it;
- the message you write.
That is the whole form. If you go on to place an order, we will also need a shipping address and payment details, which we arrange with you directly by email rather than through this site.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server request information, such as IP address, browser user agent, and which pages were requested. This is ordinary web server logging, used to operate and secure the site. We do not use it to build a profile of you and we do not combine it with your inquiry.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets one cookie, and it is not a tracker. When you confirm that you are a qualified researcher acquiring materials for laboratory research use only, your browser stores cc_ruo_confirmed_v3 for 30 days so that we do not ask you again on every visit. It holds a single value and nothing else. It is never sent to any other site, and it tells us nothing about who you are.
If we change what those conditions say, the cookie gets a new name and everyone confirms again. A stored confirmation should only ever refer to wording you actually read.
Apart from that one cookie, this site runs no analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no social media widgets, and no third party scripts of any kind. We do not use cookies to build a profile of you or to follow you across other sites.
There is no consent banner. The only cookie we set for visitors records a confirmation you actively gave, and it is used for nothing else. You can delete it in your browser at any time; the only effect is that we will ask you to confirm again.
Two further cookies exist only for us. The two people who run Cupid Chems sign in to an internal dashboard on this domain to look at our own stock and sales figures. They are named here for completeness rather than because they affect you.

How we use it
We use the information you send us to:

Who else handles it
We are a two person company and we use a small number of service providers to run the business. Your inquiry passes through:
- Vercel, which hosts this site and serves your request.
- Resend, which delivers the contact form as an email to us.
- Google Workspace, where our email is hosted and where your message is read and answered.
These providers handle the information to provide their service to us. We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where we are required to by law or legal process.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Where it is held
We are based in the United States and your information is processed there. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be sent to and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your own country.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to answer you, to fill and support any order, and to keep accurate business and tax records. When we no longer need it, we delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider as part of running the site.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it.
Ask through the form on our contact section and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm who you are first. We may also need to keep certain records where the law requires it, for example records of a completed sale, and we will tell you if that applies.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Ask us and we will do our best to help.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our inbox is limited to the two people who run the company. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send us information you would not want disclosed. In particular, do not send payment card details through the contact form.
Children
This site is not directed to children. Our materials are sold only to people aged 21 or over acting in a research capacity, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
