This policy applies to every material Cupid Chems LLC supplies, and to every inquiry, quote, and order. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If you do not accept it, do not order from us.
Laboratory research use only
All materials supplied by Cupid Chems are sold solely for laboratory research use by qualified researchers.
They are not drugs, foods, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices.
- Not for human or veterinary use. They must not be ingested, injected, inhaled, applied to the body, or otherwise administered to any human or animal.
- Not for clinical or diagnostic use. They are not for use in the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any condition.
- Not for use in food or consumer products, and not for any purpose that places them in contact with people or animals.
No approval, and no representation of safety
No material we supply has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for any use, in humans or in animals. We make no representation that any material is safe or effective for any purpose.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a material is appropriate for your work, and for carrying out that work safely.
We publish no claims, and we will not supply them
Our catalog gives identity, quantity, and price. That is the whole of it, and it is deliberate.
We do not publish, and will not provide on request, descriptions of what a material does, its effects, protocols, dosing, routes of administration, or any guidance relating to human or veterinary use. If you ask us for that, we will decline. A request that makes clear a material is intended for a person or an animal will be refused and the order will not be filled.
Who may buy
To order from us you confirm that you:
- are at least 21 years old;
- are acquiring materials in a professional, academic, or institutional research capacity, and not for personal use;
- have the training, facilities, and equipment to handle, store, and dispose of research materials safely;
- are authorized to receive these materials at the address you give us, and, where you order for an organization, are authorized to do so on its behalf.
We may ask about your institutional affiliation and the nature of your work before we fill an order.
What you agree to
By ordering, you agree that you will:
- use the materials only for laboratory research, and never administer them to a human or an animal;
- comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and with the requirements of your institution, including any ethics, biosafety, or chemical handling approvals your work needs;
- not resell, transfer, distribute, or supply the materials to anyone for human or veterinary use, and not to anyone you have reason to believe intends such use;
- not repackage, relabel, or represent our materials as approved, therapeutic, or fit for consumption;
- keep the materials secure and out of the reach of anyone not qualified to handle them.
Compliance is your responsibility. We supply materials on the conditions set out here, and we have no control over what happens after delivery.
We may refuse or cancel any order
We may decline, limit, delay, or cancel any inquiry or order at our discretion, with or without giving a reason. That includes any case where we believe the materials may be intended for human or veterinary use, or where the information given to us appears inaccurate.
